Join Amazon's Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) team as a passionate and inventive Machine Learning Engineer. We are seeking a candidate with a robust machine learning background to help us build exciting customization capabilities, including fine-tuning, distillation, model evaluation, and prompt optimization. As a key member of our AGI team, you will spearhead the development of novel training techniques and optimizations for Large Language Models (LLMs). You will collaborate closely with Applied Scientists to utilize Amazon’s varied data sources and extensive computing resources, advancing the development of multimodal LLMs and Generative Artificial Intelligence solutions. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic about new challenges and has a strong track record of successful product feature delivery. You should possess a commitment to teamwork, strong communication skills for engaging with both business and technical partners, and a desire to create reliable, scalable, and high-performance AI products. Exceptional technical expertise and a solid understanding of Computer Science fundamentals and Machine Learning are essential. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with fellow engineers to explore design strategies, prototype new technologies, and assess technical feasibility. Work alongside Applied Scientists to process data and optimize machine learning models at scale. Engage in an Agile/Scrum environment to deliver high-quality software. Basic Qualifications: 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience. 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience for new and existing systems. Proficient in at least one software programming language. Preferred Qualifications: 3+ years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
