We are seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer to play a vital role in the evolution of Windows on AWS. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with a diverse team of professionals to ideate, design, and launch revolutionary products and services. Innovate within a large distributed computing environment, driving substantial technological advancements. Tackle challenging technical problems at the operating system, storage, and networking levels. Contribute to an agile team committed to delivering high-quality software solutions. Provide guidance and mentorship to fellow engineers while fostering an inclusive and enjoyable workplace culture. Basic Qualifications: 5+ years of professional software development experience. Proficient in at least one programming language for a minimum of 5 years. Experience leading design and architecture of systems focused on reliability and scalability. Proven track record as a mentor or tech lead, supporting engineering teams. Preferred Qualifications: A comprehensive understanding of the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operational excellence. Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field. Expertise in modern programming languages such as Java, C++, or C#, with a focus on object-oriented design. Solid foundation in Windows Operating System fundamentals and Active Directory. Experience with Windows device drivers, filesystem drivers, or filter drivers. Proficiency in .NET programming.
