As part of our dynamic and innovative Design Cost & Complexity Analytics team, you’ll develop groundbreaking data products and analytical software that provide valuable insights across various teams at Ford.
This is an exciting opportunity for a Technical Anchor & Lead Software Engineer to make a significant impact. In this unique role, you will blend technical expertise and leadership to guide and mentor engineering teams, drive technical strategy, and architect robust software solutions. Be prepared to engage in the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), from design and architecture to development, testing, and deployment.
Your Responsibilities:
Lead & Mentor:
Inspire and guide a talented team of software engineers, promoting a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement. Drive Technical Strategy & Architecture:
Collaborate with architects to design scalable software solutions that meet complex business needs. Hands-on Development & Delivery:
Work closely with product managers to translate business requirements into actionable user stories, participating in full-stack development. Solve Complex Problems:
Analyze issues to identify bottlenecks and develop innovative solutions, balancing speed of delivery with quality. Collaborate & Consult:
Work alongside data scientists and engineers to develop impactful analytical products, acting as a trusted technical consultant. Ensure Compliance:
Adhere strictly to Information Security Policies and best practices. What We Are Looking For: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field. 8+ years of progressive IT and full-stack development experience, including 5+ years in Python. 5+ years of experience with Machine Learning technologies and frameworks. 2+ years as a Lead Software Engineer, mentoring teams. Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or similar cloud services. Proficiency in modern front-end frameworks such as Angular or React. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
