User Experience Design Manager

We're searching for a dedicated UX Design Manager to lead the development of next-generation Ford.com experiences (web + mobile). As a UX Design Manager, you'll be responsible for setting the strategic direction while also being hands-on with design. You will mentor a high-performing team, create key design artifacts, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Product, Engineering, and Research. Your insights on customer behavior and data-driven decisions will shape the concepts for new products and features. Key Responsibilities: Lead and nurture a talented UX team, establishing clear goals and a positive, inclusive culture. Drive the end-to-end product/design process, from information architecture to high-fidelity prototypes. Enhance the Ford design system while ensuring design quality and consistency across products. Apply research insights to inform decisions and assess the impact of design solutions. Collaborate in an agile environment to rapidly ship and iterate on designs. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in UX/Interaction/Product/Visual Design or equivalent experience. 7+ years of experience designing digital products within agile teams. Proven leadership experience with a record of successful initiatives. Proficient in modern design and prototyping tools (Figma, Sketch, Adobe CC). Portfolio showcasing exceptional user experiences and your leadership impact. Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in a related design discipline. Experience with discovery research and user validation processes. Track record of working on high-profile consumer websites/apps, particularly in e-commerce. Strong visual design skills paired with the ability to prototype using design tools or code. Understanding of modern front-end technologies and frameworks. Experience in the automotive sector or with complex configurable products. Aptitude for thriving in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
