In this key position, you will work across teams to develop innovative solutions that empower developers and redefine how businesses utilize open source technologies. Notable projects include Data on EKS, AI on EKS, Model Context Protocol (MCP), and various AI-specific initiatives such as vLLM, Triton Server, OpenXLA, and Ray. Key Responsibilities: Guide development teams in creating architectural best practices for large-scale data processing solutions and AI/ML workflows using open source technologies. Oversee the creation of strategic roadmaps for customers embracing emerging open source technologies in data, AI, and cloud-native domains. Lead initiatives that articulate the business value of open source adoption to C-level executives at strategic accounts. Drive collaboration with engineering, product, and business stakeholders to formulate customer-focused open source strategies that enhance AWS usage and maximize business impact. Develop technical content, workshops, and architectural frameworks to address client challenges and hasten cloud adoption. Provide input from the field to influence product strategy and roadmaps with data-driven insights. Collaborate with Legal, Security, and Engineering teams to ensure sound open source risk management. Guide teams in effective community engagement strategies to strengthen influence in key open source projects. Represent the company at open source conferences, speaking engagements, and community events (with approximately 25% travel required). Lead strategic customer meetings to showcase innovative OSS solutions, mentor Solutions Architects on complex OSS implementations, and collaborate with AWS service teams to shape product direction based on customer needs. You will create thought leadership content and prepare for industry engagements, guiding executives on their OSS transformation journey while fostering team development and staying abreast of OSS advancements and AI intersections. About the Team:
The mission of the Strategic Accounts and Specialist SA and EMEA Tech teams is to empower customers to realize their visionary goals while minimizing challenges. Your peers include experts in various technical domains, including data and analytics, networking, security, and open source software. Basic Qualifications: 5+ years managing technical, customer-facing resources or have equivalent experience. 10+ years in infrastructure architecture, database architecture, and networking. Bachelor's degree in a relevant field. Experience architecting or operating solutions on any cloud service provider such as Azure, AWS, GCP, or OCI. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with cloud architecture, migration, transformation, or modernization. People management experience and engagement at the CXO level. Our compensation reflects labor costs across various US geographic markets. Base pay for this role ranges from $180,900/year in our lowest market to $312,800/year in our highest market, influenced by location, job-related skills, knowledge, and experience.
