Job Summary: As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the analysis, design, and development of software solutions. Collaborating with internal stakeholders, you will understand their business needs and create custom applications that influence system design. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in modern development technologies such as Python, PowerShell, CSS, JavaScript, C#, Node.js, and RESTful services, along with a working knowledge of relational databases, automation, and infrastructure technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the software design process based on functional requirements.
Consult with project teams and end users to identify application needs.
Design, develop, and implement new software features or modifications to existing solutions.
Ensure CI/CD processes maintain code stability, efficiency, security, and quality.
Assist in Runtime platform maintenance, integration of new features, and release fixes.
Propose improvements for SDLC and DevOps processes.
Develop code automation to enhance efficiency and enforce quality/security standards.
Create and maintain documentation.
Participate in advanced support for live site management.
Mentor junior team members and provide subject matter expertise (SME).

Experience in developing high-performance, thread-safe code for high-scale services. Deep practical knowledge of RESTful & GraphQL API design best practices. Good understanding of Microservices Architecture and containerization technologies. Experience with modern security protocols like OAuth2.0, OIDC, SAML, and PKCE. Familiarity with Azure API Management or equivalent API management solutions. This position is required to report into the SHI Somerset, NJ or Austin, TX office as determined by management. The estimated annual pay range for this position is $130,000 - $180,000, based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
