About the Role:
We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Senior Executive Medical Director for Clinical Development in the Rare Disease therapeutic area. This critical role offers the opportunity to lead the scientific strategy, planning, and execution of all aspects of clinical drug development. The successful candidate will: Oversee the full scope of clinical drug development activities from Phase 2 to Phase 4 studies. Serve as the principal representative for global development within this therapeutic area, engaging with executive leadership, development partners, and global regulatory agencies. Lead the global development of one or more assets and exhibit strong people management skills. Collaborate closely with cross-functional product teams to advance clinical programs and contribute to overall product strategy. Requirements: MD or DO from an accredited medical school. A minimum of 5 years in industry or academic research and 6 years of managerial experience. PhD, MBBS, or equivalent, with accredited residency in a relevant sub-specialty and board certification is preferred. The ideal candidate should possess: A solid understanding of biostatistics, regulatory requirements, clinical pharmacology, and pre-clinical toxicology. Knowledge of Good Clinical Practices, FDA regulations, and international regulatory guidelines. Exceptional leadership qualities including the ability to inspire, accelerate, integrate, and adapt. The capacity to present complex medical and clinical concepts clearly, analyze and interpret datasets, and drive creativity in projects. This position involves minimal travel (less than 10%).
