Join our team as a Lead Wireless Network Engineer at Copeland! We are a global climate technologies company focused on sustainability and efficiency in residential, commercial, and industrial spaces through cutting-edge HVACR technologies.
As a Lead Wireless Network Engineer, you will play a vital role in engineering leadership and design guidance to support Copeland's Enterprise Global network. Your expertise will lead the architectural design and operational development for our wireless solutions globally. You'll also be the senior technical resource for RF and Wi-Fi matters and will mentor operational teams on best practices for supporting Wi-Fi infrastructure.
This position offers a perfect opportunity for someone with a strong knowledge of IT networking, including routing, switching, firewalls, and specific technologies like Cisco ISE and Cisco Prime. Your contributions will aid in providing Level IV operational support for our IT Enterprise, focusing on complex anomalies related to Wi-Fi deployment.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, design, and implement advanced network infrastructure technologies with a core focus on wireless systems.
Support infrastructure operations as a Level IV technical resource, offering guidance and mentorship to the operations group.
Research and evaluate emerging network technology, maintaining leadership as a subject matter expert (SME) within Enterprise IT communications.
Monitor network performance and employ performance tuning strategies to ensure optimal operation.
Engage with security and cloud infrastructure teams to enhance connectivity solutions.
Qualifications:
Fifteen or more years of hands-on experience with routing and switching devices.
A minimum of ten years in designing, implementing, and operating WAN/LAN and Wireless networks using Cisco hardware.
Advanced knowledge of Cisco Wireless networking solutions, VLANs, BGP, EIGRP, and OSPF.
Experience with automation scripts for network administration tasks.
Possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or a related technology field and hold a CCNP certification; CCIE certification is preferred.
