This role is responsible for participating in the development, maintenance, enhancement, and support of applications in the TPF baggage environment.

Essential Responsibilities

Understand business requirements in order toprovide the technical design of computer software.

Possessprogramming expertise in one of Delta standard programming languages in orderto develop and maintain computer software.

Developappropriate software and documentation according to Delta standards.

Supportand troubleshoot computer systems as required, optimizing performance,resolving problems, and providing timely follow up on all problems.

Follow Delta standards and methodologies inthe development and implementation of computer software. May perform otherduties as assigned.

What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)

Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Systems or any equivalent combination of experience, education, and/or training in the computer systems development field.

Previous airline experience ideal.

Ability to work within a team environment.

Experience building computer software within the Airline business a plus.

Experience in developing and maintaining software for a z/TPF operating system.

Must have 10 years of TPF application experience.

Must have a good working knowledge of the structure of a PNR

Must have working experience with PNRs

Must be able to code proficiently in BAL, Sabretalk and C.

Must have a good understanding of teletype processing.

Must be able to understand and code using TPFDF database structures Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data.

Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.

Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.

Knowledge of Software Development - Involves knowing the general approach to developing software including practice, concepts, technology, and methodology obtained through formal training and/or work experience.

Problem Solving - Uses rigorous logic and methods to solve difficult problems with effective solutions, probes all fruitful sources for answers, can see hidden problems, is excellent at honest analysis, looks beyond the obvious and doesn't stop at the first answer.

Programming Ability - Ability to effectively write code (e.g., in one or more languages) in order to develop effective and efficient solutions to computing needs.

Solution Oriented - Maintains a positive attitude oriented towards coming up with solutions and developing new approaches, doesn't let distractions get in the way, isn't overwhelmed with problems/ issues.
