Responsibilities
Sentinel is seeking a Desktop Support Specialist to assist during a department transition. This hybrid role (approximately 3 days a week once trained) supports hardware/software troubleshooting, printer maintenance, video surveillance systems, and classroom technology. The specialist will train staff on smartboards, LMS platforms, and other software tools. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented and customer oriented, and experienced in desktop support.
This is a hybrid contract role based in Skokie, IL.
Qualifications
Technical Support & Maintenance
Troubleshoot and maintain Windows 10, Chrome OS, and MacOS systems
Maintain printers and related equipment
Calibrate monitors and machinery for accurate results
Manage video surveillance security systems
Maintain computer labs and classroom devices (laptops, tablets)
Handle IT help desk tickets and liaise with third-party vendor
Preferred Qualifications
Exhibit professionalism, patience, and attention to detail
A+, Network+, MCSA certifications (preferred)
2+ years of desktop support experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Office/365 and Google Suite
Experience in educational or teaching environments
Legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
Must demonstrate a “can-do” attitude
