Summary: As a Senior Network Engineer at Meta, you will blend software and network engineering skills to ensure our network and services operate seamlessly while preparing for future expansion. Your role will involve vendor and community management, data analytics, network design, and cost modeling to meet our growing demands. You will innovate, develop, and implement software, hardware, and network tools that enhance reliability and performance across our global infrastructure. Responsibilities: Design, implement, manage, and maintain multi-vendor and multi-protocol data center and high-performance compute networks.

Collaborate with internal and external development teams to draft and review system architecture and migration plans.

Define and develop optimized network hardware systems.

Participate in an on-call rotation with your engineering team as an escalation contact for service incidents.

Utilize data analysis to diagnose and pinpoint root causes of network issues.

Work alongside top engineers in the industry on innovative projects; your contributions will directly impact billions of users globally.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

Over 10 years of experience in operating and enhancing production networks.

Proven ability to understand and address network hardware and topology failures.

Proficient in higher-level programming languages (e.g., Python, C++, Go, C, etc.).

Experience in configuring and maintaining network fabrics and Network Monitoring Systems or high-performance compute clusters.

Familiarity with network device configurations from at least one vendor (Nvidia/Mellanox, Arista/Broadcom, etc.).

Ability to learn new software, frameworks, and APIs quickly.

Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of RoCE and Infiniband protocols.

Understanding and development experience of Ethernet and Infiniband HPC architectures.

Experience in hardware/software development involving optics and Ethernet switching ASICs to build network systems.
