Our data platform delivers business intelligence to a diverse, global community of internal customers, drawing from one of the world's largest and most complex datasets. In this role, you will design and implement data solutions using Amazon's cloud technologies. We are looking for a candidate who excels with AWS ETL tools and is comfortable accessing and manipulating big data from multiple sources. You will partner with business teams to identify strategic opportunities and drive impactful results. Key Responsibilities: Gather business and functional requirements to create scalable, operable data solutions. Contribute to the architecture and implementation of next-generation data solutions. Manage AWS resources including S3, Athena, Lambda, etc. Optimize automated processes for performance and reliability. Support ad-hoc analysis across various data sources. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality data architecture and pipelines. Make complex data more accessible, understandable, and usable. A Day in the Life: As a Data Engineer, you will provide technical leadership and build end-to-end analytical solutions that are highly available, scalable, stable, secure, and cost-effective. You will strive for simplicity, demonstrate creativity, and sound judgement while delivering customer-focused data solutions that create significant business impact. About Our Team: Founded in 2022, the Foundational People Data Services team has pioneered secure, reliable, and fast methods to store and utilize worker data. Our efforts have enabled builders across Amazon to create over 7,800 experiences with innovative 1P data services focused on the builder experience. We prioritize making our data services foundational - as essential and reliable as utilities like electricity and water. Basic Qualifications: 3+ years of data engineering experience. Experience with data modeling, warehousing, and building ETL pipelines. Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with AWS technologies such as Redshift, S3, Glue, EMR, Kinesis, and Lambda. Experience with non-relational databases (object storage, document stores, graph databases, etc.). Amazon is an equal opportunity employer. Compensation for this role ranges from $118,900 to $205,600 based on market location and job-related factors. Compensation packages may include equity, sign-on bonuses, and a comprehensive benefits package. This position is based at our Seattle, WA office and will remain open until filled.
