The Software Engineer develops, maintains, and enhances complex software systems, including analytics, algorithms, real-time systems, and business management systems. Responsibilities include reviewing, testing, and documenting software components, resolving issues, and contributing to system design with hardware/software trade-offs and requirements analysis. Responsibilities Analyze user requirements to derive design and performance specifications. Design, code, and modify software to add features or improve existing systems. Debug and test software, develop data queries, and document processes. Develop algorithms to meet performance standards and assist in testing procedures. Serve as team lead, oversee software development teams, and ensure adherence to standards. Coordinate system installation, monitor performance, and recommend process improvements. Suggest new technologies and methodologies for software projects.
Domain Skills Experience with Agile development, IBM Rational Suite, and test-driven development. Proficiency in Java (backend), Eclipse, Maven, Git, Linux, and performance testing. Configuration management and defect debugging skills. Ability to support rapid response projects and develop data queries.
Qualifications
Minimum 20 years of software engineering experience in similar scope projects. Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field required; an additional four years of relevant experience can substitute for a degree. Compensation and Benefits
Salary ranges from $147k to $275k depending on experience. Benefits include up to 3 weeks paid vacation, 11 holidays, immediate healthcare, and a 401(k) plan with employer match. Company Overview
