As a Senior Application Security Engineer, you will:
Analyze the security of applications and services.
Discover and resolve security vulnerabilities.
Develop security automation tools.
React promptly to emerging threats.
Mentor junior engineers and act as a thought leader in security.
Participate in planning and process enhancement for the AWS IT Security team's efforts.
Your expertise in multiple domains will make significant contributions to the AWS IT Security team and beyond. You'll blend strong troubleshooting, technical, and communication skills while managing various responsibilities, including project work and software development.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct application security and mobile security reviews.
Design secure architecture and perform threat modeling.
Involve in security training and outreach for internal teams.
Document security guidance and develop security tools.
Analyze and improve security metrics.
Assist with recruiting and administrative activities.

Basic Qualifications:
BS (or higher) in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
5+ years of experience in application security, including threat modeling, secure design reviews, and pen-testing.
Expertise in security domains such as identity management, cryptography, networking, and web protocols.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with AWS products and services.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++.
