Security Engineer

at Amazon, you will have the opportunity to: Conduct high-quality application penetration tests independently or as part of a skilled team. Create comprehensive engagement plans, document findings, and provide actionable remediation recommendations. Contribute to team tools and innovate for continuous improvement. Communicate effectively with partner teams, service owners, and senior leadership to influence security priorities. This position requires exemplary judgment in navigating technical challenges and making strategic decisions that balance short-term fixes with long-term security goals. A strong focus on customer obsession is essential to safeguarding Amazon's operations and providing excellent service to our customers. Basic Qualifications: 3+ years of programming experience in languages like Python, Ruby, Go, Swift, Java, .Net, or C++. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent. 3+ years of experience with threat modeling, secure coding, identity management, software development, cryptography, or network security. 3+ years in a penetration testing or offensive security role. The base pay for this position ranges from $136,000 to $212,800 per year depending on geographic location, experience, and skills.
