40 Overview:
Join our dedicated team at Parrish Healthcare as a Healthcare Integration Specialist, where you will play a crucial role in enhancing platform integration and data interoperability across our organization. You will be responsible for using integration engines such as Mirth Connect, Rhapsody, Cloverleaf, and Ensemble, alongside MEDITECH EHR, to facilitate efficient data exchange and communication within our systems. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, test, and deploy robust interfaces connecting various healthcare systems using integration engines and middleware solutions. Implement and troubleshoot essential HL7 messages like ADT (Admission, Discharge, Transfer), ORM (Order Message), and ORU (Observation Result). Utilize interoperability frameworks including FHIR and IHE profiles to guarantee fluid data exchange between EHRs, laboratory systems, and imaging systems. Monitor integration environments, resolve issues, and secure data accuracy and reliability across all connected systems. Customize integration solutions to align with healthcare providers’ specific needs while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Collaborate with clinical and technical teams—encompassing IT staff, clinicians, and external vendors—to gather requirements and address technical hurdles. Maintain the security and integrity of the exchanged data in compliance with HIPAA and other healthcare regulations. Create and sustain detailed technical documentation, including interface specifications, system workflows, and user manuals. Provide training and support to end-users and IT staff to optimize the use of integrated systems. Lead or participate in projects related to healthcare system integration and data exchange initiatives. Monitor project progress and promptly report any deviations to the IT Director. Adapt and innovate non-standardized approaches when necessary. Requirements: Formal Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Healthcare Analytics, or a related field is required (experience and/or certifications may be considered). Work Experience:
