Responsibilities:
Examine data from various sources to provide insights into organization, mission/business processes, and information systems
Design, document, and implement custom algorithms for data modeling, mining, and research purposes
Develop and optimize workflow processes to enhance data analysis efficiency and effectiveness
Work with large data sets to extract valuable insights and support decision-making processes
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for data analysis processes and findings
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify data needs and deliver actionable insights
Develop and implement data quality assurance processes
Present complex data findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in data analysis and machine learning
Mentor junior team members and contribute to the overall data strategy of the organization
Qualifications:
Required:
Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field
8-11 years of experience in data analysis, with a focus on algorithm design and implementation Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL
Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
In-depth knowledge of statistical analysis and machine learning techniques
Proven track record of working with large, complex datasets
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical audiences
Experience in documenting and implementing data analysis workflows
Desired:
Master's degree in a relevant field
Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
Knowledge of big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark)
Familiarity with government or defense sector data analysis
Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Data Analytics, Google Data Analytics Professional Certificate)

: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
