Commercial Division Superintendent - Lead Hawaii's Premier Projects | Starting Salary $110,000 | $110K-$140K Range | Oahu
Our client is a leading, employee-owned construction firm with a proud 100+ year legacy of building Hawaii's most iconic commercial, hospitality, healthcare, residential, and infrastructure projects. Role Overview: As Superintendent in the Commercial Division, you will lead and manage on-site construction teams, overseeing daily operations to ensure safety, quality, and schedule adherence. You'll be a hands-on leader driving project success on commercial projects including hospitals, resorts, and residential communities.
Your Key Responsibilities: Hire, train, supervise, and direct field labor and subcontractors
Collaborate with Project Managers and Engineers on scheduling, compliance, and work progress
Use scheduling tools (P-6, P-3, Microsoft Project) to update and track timelines
Coordinate subcontractor activities to optimize labor utilization
Manage materials and equipment delivery and utilization
Monitor production and equipment costs against schedules
Maintain communication with owners, architects, and engineers
Focus on productivity, cost control, and project profitability
Lead safety compliance and maintain a fair and safe work environment
Prepare project documentation and assist with final closeout reports What You Bring:
Minimum 5 years' construction experience, preferably 10+ years, with 5+ years as superintendent on similar projects
Preferred experience in Concrete/Precast or Wood Framing
Knowledge of EM 385-1-1 safety standards and hazard identification
Ability to read and interpret critical path schedules and construction drawings
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
Strong verbal and written communication skills
