ABOUT THIS ROLE In this pivotal position, you will be instrumental in enhancing our Data Engineering solutions and advancing our existing data platform. You will work closely with stakeholders across our global data ecosystem, driving initiatives that emphasize data quality and best practices in data warehousing. Your work will focus on: Data integration and modeling Execution of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes Implementation of flexible data solutions that support our data-driven initiatives ABOUT YOU As a skilled programming specialist, you will engage in the design, development, troubleshooting, and enhancement of data engineering solutions. Your responsibilities will include: Collaborating with cross-functional teams to assess source systems and identify foundational data sources Creating and optimizing data models and documenting the design specifications Developing systems and datasets using software engineering best practices Maintaining and optimizing data pipelines for efficient data ingestion and transformation Resolving performance issues in data pipelines and databases Producing technical documentation to support data delivery ABOUT AUDIBLE As a leading producer of audio storytelling, Audible ignites listeners' imaginations with immersive experiences that enrich everyday lives. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science or equivalent 3+ years of experience in a Data Warehouse (DWH) environment, specifically with Data integration/ETL of large datasets PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Expertise in performance tuning and scaling of BI systems Proficiency in SQL and database technologies like AWS Redshift Strong data modeling skills, including Star/Snowflake schema design Effective interpersonal and communication skills Knowledge of scripting for automation (e.g., Python) Analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities Ability to learn quickly, work independently, and meet deadlines Experience with Agile Scrum methodologies Audible is an equal opportunity employer.
