Job DescriptionJob DescriptionDescription:
Be the Gatekeeper of Our Success.
Mandolin HVAC & Construction is hiring a sharp, decisive
Inspection Technician
who thrives on keeping jobs moving, inspectors happy, and red tags off the board. You’ll be out in the field daily, meeting city, state, or county inspectors on active job sites—across plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and construction—to ensure we
pass inspections the first time, every time.
If you’re detail-driven, know your codes, and have the kind of presence that earns respect on site, this is where you belong.
What You’ll Do
Represent Mandolin on job sites during inspections—be the inspector’s first and last impression.
Verify that work is complete, code-compliant, and passable before the inspector ever steps out of the truck.
Coordinate with managers, to keep timelines tight and inspections smooth.
Close inspection loops quickly—document outcomes, identify punch items, and escalate immediately when needed.
Support all business units—plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and construction—wherever an inspection is scheduled.
Help drive quality, accountability, and speed on every project we touch.
Requirements:
What You Bring
Experience in the trades (plumbing, HVAC, electrical, or GC)—or inspection experience a major plus.
Strong understanding of inspection readiness and local building codes.
Professionalism and presence—you’re cool under pressure and confident around officials.
The ability to troubleshoot in the field and escalate when crews miss the mark.
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel locally between job sites daily. (Some long days)
