Job Summary:

The Manager of Data Privacy and Governance will play a crucial role in our data privacy team, focusing on implementing and supporting a comprehensive data governance framework at Rubrik. This position combines policy expertise with technical skills to ensure privacy controls are effectively assessed and applied across our systems and applications. You will conduct technical privacy assessments, ensure compliance with application setups, aid in establishing our data retention practices, and help monitor and enhance the privacy program's effectiveness. Key Responsibilities: Monitoring, Review, and Auditing:

Evaluate privacy risk management performance, report findings, and recommend strategic improvements to align with organizational goals. Technical Privacy Assessments:

Conduct in-depth technical privacy assessments for products and services to identify privacy risks from the design phase onward. Technical Compliance and Management:

Perform compliance evaluations of internal and third-party applications to ensure adherence to privacy-by-design principles. Data Retention Schedule Management:

Collaborate with IT and business units to implement an effective enterprise-wide data retention schedule, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Policy and Procedure Management:

Assist in the creation and maintenance of data governance policies and procedures, ensuring they remain relevant to changing regulations and business needs. Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Partner with legal, IT, compliance, and product development teams to foster a culture of privacy awareness and continuous enhancement. Training and Awareness:

Support the development of training materials to ensure that employees, especially in critical roles, understand their responsibilities regarding privacy. Qualifications: 5-7 years of experience in a technical role related to data governance, privacy, or information security. A Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field is required. Strong knowledge of major data protection regulations (GDPR, CCPA/CPRA) and familiarity with the NIST Privacy Framework. Experience with data governance tools and privacy-enhancing technologies is highly desirable. Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail. Effective communication skills, capable of conveying complex technical information to non-technical audiences. Relevant certifications such as CIPP/T, CIPM, or CISA are a plus. Salary and Benefits:
