Senior Solutions Architect, National Security
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is on the lookout for an experienced Solutions Architect to joined our National Security Solutions Architecture Team. In this role, you will be a trusted technical advisor for our customers in the Intelligence Community, primarily based in the Washington DC area. You will engage with a variety of technical challenges that are complex and mission-critical, making this a highly visible position.
As a Senior Solutions Architect, you will:
Architect
cloud-based solutions to solve intricate technical challenges. Collaborate
closely with sales teams to develop and enact a technical sales strategy aimed at achieving revenue goals through AWS adoption. Support
the development and migration of applications, software, and services to AWS. Educate
customers about the benefits of AWS and participate in deep architectural discussions to ensure successful cloud deployment. Conduct
training sessions to share knowledge with customers, whether they are considering or already using AWS. Document
best practices and contribute to customer-facing publications such as whitepapers. Build
strong relationships with senior technical individuals at customer organizations to promote AWS cloud advocacy. Act
as a technical liaison connecting customers with service engineering teams and support. This position may require travel of up to 20%. Key Qualifications: 8+ years in technology domains such as software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, and security. 3+ years designing, implementing, or consulting on applications and infrastructure. 10+ years in IT development or consulting within the software or Internet industries. An Associate's degree or higher, or certifications like CASP+, CCSP, Cloud+, or CSSLP. A current TS/SCI security clearance with Polygraph. Preferred Qualifications: 5+ years of experience in infrastructure and database architecture. Knowledge of SAP systems and their architectural needs.
