Join Meta as a Data Engineer and help shape innovative products that cater to billions of users and countless businesses worldwide. Your technical prowess and analytical approach will be crucial in designing and building extensive data sets to enhance user experiences across our suite of applications, including Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, WhatsApp, Reality Labs, and Threads. In this role, you'll work collaboratively with software engineers, data scientists, and product managers to create scalable data solutions that drive growth, strategy, and user experience for over 3 billion users and our internal community. Key Responsibilities: Design and own the data architecture for large-scale projects, evaluating cost-benefit tradeoffs. Create and improve frameworks for effective data logging while troubleshooting data infrastructure issues. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to discern data needs and represent insights meaningfully. Establish and manage Service Level Agreements for all data sets in your area of responsibility. Implement a robust security model based on privacy requirements, ensuring compliance and addressing data quality issues. Develop and launch sophisticated data models and visualizations that support diverse use cases. Address complex data integration challenges using optimal ETL patterns and techniques. Optimize existing production processes and enhance code using advanced algorithms. Streamline pipelines and systems to facilitate the development of data artifacts. Mentor team members by providing and receiving constructive feedback. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field. A minimum of 4 years of experience in data-centric roles, such as data analyst, data scientist, or data engineer. Proficiency in SQL, ETL processes, data modeling, and at least one programming language (e.g., Python, C++, C#, Scala, etc.). Preferred Qualifications: Master's or Ph.D. in a STEM field. Compensation:
