We are looking for a talented and motivated Sr. Software Development Engineer to join our Software Defined Networking (SDN) team. Key Responsibilities: Design and deliver a modern, flexible, scalable, high-throughput, low-latency network architecture. Implement Routing and Forwarding, Traffic Engineering, and SDN technologies to provide exceptional broadband services. Develop highly-available software to optimize networking control plane operations on both physical and virtual nodes. Define and automate software development processes, including implementation, testing, and maintenance. Ensure operational excellence for control plane services through effective tool management and process refinement. A Day in the Life: Be a key player in designing, building, and operating our satellite constellation and terrestrial network. Collaborate with satellite ground control services, customer engagement systems, and monitoring services to continually enhance our network and provide high-quality service. About the Team: The SDN Agent team is at the forefront of innovation, responsible for the operational intelligence behind the Kuiper Network. We tackle the challenges presented by a dynamic global network to ensure optimal performance and a unique user experience. Basic Qualifications: 5+ years of professional software development experience. 5+ years of experience with programming in at least one software language. 5+ years of experience in system design or architecture, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling. Experience mentoring or leading an engineering team. 5+ years of full software development life cycle experience, covering coding standards, code reviews, source control management, builds, testing, and operations.
