As a Senior Software Development Engineer focusing on Content Localization and Accessibility, you will play a critical role in enhancing the viewing experience for customers around the globe.
The Prime Video Content Localization & Accessibility team is dedicated to providing diverse language options and accessibility features to delight our customers from Day 1. With a goal of attracting and retaining the next 100 million international customers, it is essential for us to ensure our extensive catalog is accessible in their preferred languages, supported by state-of-the-art technology.
This role involves creating scalable solutions that generate multilingual assets and accessibility assists, overcoming challenges posed by traditional Localization Service Providers. To thrive, you will leverage advanced GenAI technologies and build automated supply chain processes and workflow management tools.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement reliable systems for generating localization and accessibility content.
Lead architectural decisions and mentor a team of talented engineers.
Drive innovation in accessibility features such as closed captions and audio descriptions.
Collaborate with regulatory teams to ensure compliance with accessibility standards.
Optimize human-in-the-loop solutions for quality and efficiency.
Basic Qualifications:
5+ years of professional software development experience.
Proficiency in at least one programming language with a strong background in design patterns and system reliability.
Demonstrated experience leading design and architecture efforts for both new and existing systems.
Experience mentoring engineers or serving as a technical lead.
Preferred Qualifications:
5+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including best practices in coding, code reviews, and testing.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
