hands-on System Administrator
based in
Spokane, WA
to provide
daily end-user support
in a highly interactive, onsite environment. This role is ideal for someone with a
strong customer-service orientation , technical depth in
Azure
and
Okta , and experience managing
enterprise workstations, identity platforms, and IT infrastructure . Youll be the go-to technical support resource onsite, interfacing daily with internal users and clientsso a positive, people-friendly demeanor is a must. Key Responsibilities End-User & Technical Support Deliver
onsite IT support
to users, troubleshooting issues related to hardware, software, network connectivity, printing, and access control. Administer and support
Azure Active Directory
and
Okta , managing user identities, MFA, access requests, and SSO integrations. Support local
Windows
and
macOS
workstations, maintaining endpoint compliance and performance. Perform workstation imaging, deployment, and device lifecycle management. Set up and troubleshoot
printers, peripherals, network devices , and conference room A/V systems. Collaborate with internal IT and external vendors to escalate and resolve complex issues. Systems Administration Provide day-to-day administration of
Azure ,
Microsoft 365 , and
Intune
environments. Perform account provisioning, de-provisioning, and security policy enforcement across Microsoft and Okta platforms. Monitor system health and logs to proactively detect and resolve issues. Maintain and support
on-premises Active Directory
(GPOs, DNS, OU structure)
a strong plus . Assist with VPN, firewall, and Wi-Fi troubleshooting as needed. Operational Efficiency & Documentation Create and maintain IT documentation, SOPs, and knowledge base articles for common user issues and IT processes. Support new hire onboarding, workstation setup, and orientation for local users. Continuously seek opportunities to improve support processes and reduce recurring issues. Ensure all IT operations comply with security policies and industry best practices. Required Qualifications 35+ years in a
System Administrator or IT Support Engineer
role with a focus on
in-person user support . Mandatory experience with Azure and Okta
(SSO, MFA, user provisioning, and policy management). Strong knowledge of
Microsoft 365 ,
Windows 10/11 , and modern device management (Intune). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; youll be
client-facing every day . Ability to work independently onsite with minimal supervision. Strong documentation habits and proactive support mindset. Preferred Experience & Skills Experience managing or supporting
on-prem Active Directory
(OU structure, GPOs, DNS). Working knowledge of networking basics (VLANs, firewalls, VPNs, wireless configuration). Basic scripting knowledge in
PowerShell
for automation and support tasks. Familiarity with RMM or endpoint monitoring tools (e.g., SCCM, Datto, NinjaOne). Experience supporting SaaS applications (e.g., ServiceNow, Salesforce, RingCentral). Prior experience in a client-facing, MSP, or consulting environment is a plus. Preferred Certifications CompTIA A+ ,
Network+ , or
