Solutions Architect
Job Description Day to Day: As a Solutions Architect, you will play a key role in designing and implementing scalable, secure, and resilient infrastructure solutions across cloud and hybrid environments. Your day typically begins by engaging with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical architecture using AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, and VPC. Youll evaluate existing systems, identify areas for improvement, and propose solutions that align with best practices in cloud security, automation, and performance. Youll be hands-on in developing infrastructure-as-code using tools like Ansible or GitHub Actions, and scripting in Bash or Python to automate deployments and streamline operations. While you wont be managing systems day-to-day, youll guide engineering teams on implementation, troubleshoot architectural issues, and ensure that solutions are aligned with compliance and security standards. You may also contribute to containerization strategies using Docker or Kubernetes, and support CI/CD pipeline design. Throughout the day, youll participate in design reviews, documentation, and stakeholder meetings, acting as a technical advisor and ensuring alignment between business goals and technical execution. Skills and Requirements Must Have: 5+ years of experience in Linux system administration 3+ years of experience managing AWS environments, including EC2, S3, RDS, and VPC Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, security protocols, and cloud security best practices Experience with automation and configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, Chef, or GitHub Actions Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash and Python Plusses: Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes is a plus Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
