State Of Michigan Job Description:
The State of Michigan is seeking a Release Manager to support projects utilizing the Sales Force application as the foundational layer for software development. Currently, release management and hosting in the Sales Force Government cloud are handled by vendor resources. The State of Michigan aims to transition these activities into a "center of excellence" (COE), staffed jointly by contract and DTMB personnel. The initial focus is to establish a release management process using Team Foundation Server (TFS) tools to improve efficiencies such as: Supporting concurrent development streams across multiple teams and locations. Implementing version control solutions for traceability and recovery. Automating deployment processes to reduce manual effort. Identifying security and quality issues. Automating metrics generation for deployment and testing. Ensuring consistent deployment through automated, repeatable procedures. Additional Information
Required / Desired Skills: Lead and maintain the DevOps tool stack for Salesforce applications. Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture to select appropriate DevOps tools for SOM. Knowledge of Ant scripting, build automation tools (e.g., Jenkins), and experience in deploying and debugging Salesforce applications. Develop deployment and cutover plans, write deployment scripts, evaluate new tools, and oversee the release process for Salesforce projects. #J-18808-Ljbffr
