Join our team as a Data Scientist focused on AWS Security Assurance and take part in building innovative solutions that enhance our security compliance capabilities. As a key member of the AWS Security Assurance Engineering team, you will help create tools and services that not only scale but also exceed the security and compliance expectations of regulators, auditors, and customers worldwide. In this role, you will have the opportunity to: Analyze and extract valuable insights from complex, large-scale datasets utilizing advanced statistical and AI techniques. Identify opportunities for high-impact business improvements and lead the design and execution of data science initiatives. Apply your knowledge of statistical and machine learning techniques to solve specific business problems. Leverage cutting-edge technologies like Vision Language Models (VLMs) and Large Language Models (LLMs) for document analysis, content understanding, and metadata extraction. Prototype and test AI solutions quickly, refining them iteratively based on data and feedback. Collaborate with various teams to fully understand business requirements and translate them into actionable data-driven solutions. Effectively communicate intricate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, presenting compelling insights and recommendations to leadership. Stay informed about the latest in AI advancements and explore how to apply emerging techniques within our operations. Engage with Business Intelligence, Data Engineers, and Software Developers to enhance data quality through improved data collection and refinement of existing data sources. Basic Qualifications: Minimum 3 years of experience with data querying languages (e.g., SQL), scripting languages (e.g., Python), or statistical software (e.g., R, SAS). 3+ years of experience in machine learning/statistical modeling techniques and their performance parameters. A Master’s degree plus 2 years of data science experience or a Bachelor’s degree plus 5 years of experience in a related field (Data Science, Computer Science, Machine Learning, Statistics, Mathematics). Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Large Language Models (LLMs) and Vision Language Models (VLMs). Familiarity with AWS technologies such as AWS Bedrock, SageMaker, S3, and others. Experience in Natural Language Processing (NLP) and computer vision applications. Ability to create impactful data-driven visualizations and narratives for stakeholders. The base pay for this position ranges from $125,500 to $212,800, based on various factors including location and experience.
