Overview GovCIO is seeking a skilled Software Configuration Manager to enhance our client's contract needs. This is a fully remote position aimed at candidates within the Washington, DC area. Responsibilities Manage and maintain software systems to ensure integrity and consistency throughout the project lifecycle. Oversee and ensure the integrity of software products. Administer internal websites, edit scripts, and prepare documentation for software releases. Design and execute configuration plans effectively. Coordinate with supervisors and analysts on project requirements. Prepare comprehensive configuration documentation and manage configuration items. Implement and manage ServiceNow Discovery for automated IT asset tracking. Define Configuration Items (CIs) and oversee data governance, ensuring strong relationships with stakeholders. Track and manage update sets for controlled system changes across environments. Maintain data integrity and support IT operations aligning with business goals. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree with 8+ years of configuration management experience or equivalent experience. Minimum of 8 years in configuration management or a related field. Proven experience in managing complex IT projects, familiarity with ServiceNow CMDB configuration management tools, and adherence to relevant standards and regulations. Required proficiency in ServiceNow and ServiceNow Discovery. Excellent communication skills for effective stakeholder management. Strong expertise in MS Office products. Strong writing skills for clear documentation of processes and procedures. Clearance Required:

The initial pay range for this position is USD $81,850.00 - USD $110,000.00 /Yr, based on factors such as experience and skills.
