As a Software Development Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in bringing this greenfield project to life. Your expertise will guide the design and implementation of scalable solutions, addressing HR, operational, and business challenges effectively. You will lead the architecture and development stages, writing essential code that drives our critical applications. Moreover, you will impact technical and business strategies by providing insightful contributions to our team’s priorities. Your role encompasses all aspects of the agile software development lifecycle: from design and architecture to development, documentation, testing, and operations. With the empowerment to oversee solutions end-to-end, you will excel in full-stack software development. Key Responsibilities The Personal Information Domain (PID) Platform and Identity Management Services (IDMS) team is on the lookout for a Software Development Engineer II, dedicated to building full-stack enterprise solutions using cloud technologies. Our team is responsible for both customer-facing experiences and back-end services focused on personal information management across the globe. As an SDE II, you will handle impactful services, focusing on designing, building, and maintaining data platforms and identity services. Your contributions will include enhancing duplicate detection, login, identity creation, profile management, and automating crucial services for successful pre-boarding. The software you build will affect millions of Amazon employees worldwide, requiring a deep understanding of technical development. A Day in the Life Each day will involve designing and implementing new features, improving existing functionalities, and addressing complex issues that may require collaboration across teams. We actively engage with Product Managers to advocate for customer experience enhancements and invent effective solutions. Basic Qualifications 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience. 2+ years of experience in the design or architecture of new and existing systems. Proficiency in at least one programming language. Preferred Qualifications 3+ years of experience covering the full software development lifecycle. Degree in computer science or equivalent.
