The Senior Data Analytics Leader is a vital part of a dynamic team that collaborates to provide exceptional service to states and large school districts. This role involves oversight of a small team of Data Analysts and plays a critical part in steering data interoperability initiatives. You will engage in data analysis and transformation to facilitate strategic and operational decision-making for our esteemed clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead project management efforts, defining scope and timelines while coordinating closely with both internal and client stakeholders to ensure project success.
Ensure that all data projects are well-documented, including defining requirements that align with data engineering processes.
Analyze and profile data sets, identifying patterns and developing insightful visualizations to improve the decision-making process.
Utilize programming logic to enhance data ETL processes, leveraging tools like MS Access to write scripts and queries.
Effectively communicate findings and insights to clients and team members to foster understanding and collaboration.
Specific Duties:
Delegate and manage tasks to ensure client expectations are consistently met or exceeded.
Create advanced SQL queries and perform data mining to extract meaningful insights.
Develop reports, dashboards, and data visualizations tailored to client needs.
Automate business processes utilizing Power Apps and Flows.
Identify business improvement opportunities through detailed analysis.
Present analytical results to internal stakeholders to inform strategies.
Coordinate with IT regarding data governance and the data warehouse requirements.
Oversee the creation and maintenance of data dictionaries and related documentation for reports.
Manage strategic client relationships, providing support and resolving issues as they arise.
Travel to client sites for status updates and presentations.
Essential Skills:
Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities, along with a meticulous attention to detail.
Proficient in MS Office Suite, particularly Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
Experienced in utilizing scripts, macros, and formulas for data manipulation.
Excellent organizational and communication skills, both written and oral.
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with tools such as Visio, Asana, and JIRA.
Experience with programming languages like Python or SQL and other data platforms.
Required Experience:
Bachelor's degree and/or relevant data analysis experience.
At least 3 years of supervisory experience and 3 years working in K-12 educational environments.
A minimum of 6 years of experience in data analysis roles.
Salary Range:
