Responsibilities We’re looking for a
collaborative and detail-oriented Insurance Rating Algorithm Developer
to join our team. In this role, you’ll design, implement, and refine rating algorithms that help determine insurance premiums and rates. Your work will directly support our mission to deliver fair, efficient, and scalable insurance solutions.
You’ll be working closely with our
priority rating system , contributing to its ongoing development and optimization. This system is central to our pricing strategy and product offerings, and your expertise will help ensure it remains accurate, adaptable, and aligned with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, test, and optimize insurance rating algorithms.
Ensure rating algorithms are accurate, efficient, and scalable.
Collaborate with business analysts and cross-functional teams to align rating algorithmic solutions with project goals.
Document methodologies and technical decisions clearly and accessibly.
Continuously improve rating algorithm performance based on feedback and data insights.
Qualifications
Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., SQL, C#).
Experience with ISO rating algorithms
Strong understanding of data structures and logical reasoning.
Experience with systems like Duck Creek, Guidewire, and ERC
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Experience in Property and Casualty insurance is a plus.
Associate degree or equivalent experience welcomed.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) is beneficial.
