DoD Secret Cleared Network Systems Engineer
to join our dynamic team. This position provides the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects that directly impact national security. Location:
Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland (APG) – Onsite 5 days a week. What You Will Do: Utilize
Cameo/Magic Draw
for model-based network analysis tool development. Participate in model reviews and ensure the effective maintenance of the model. Provide support for digital engineering efforts, including training and infrastructure development. Perform systems engineering processes and implement best practices for acquisition programs. Contribute to the design and support of transport and networking architecture for tactical network capabilities. Conduct thorough technical evaluations, including risk assessments and integration strategies. Engage in activities related to Capability Sets and Integrated Tactical Networks to modernize communications. Collaborate with multiple stakeholders, including PEO C3T and other PMs, to ensure interoperability. Review acquisition documentation and translate technical requirements into effective solutions. Review contractor proposals for technical accuracy to ensure alignment with project requirements. Qualifications: Minimum six (6) years of tactical network systems engineering experience. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Testing, or a related field is preferred; additional related experience may substitute for degree. Demonstrated experience in network engineering, including designing and implementing LANs or VLANs. Proficiency in routing protocols, multicast, and IPv4/IPv6 addressing. Experience with network protocol analysis using tools such as Sniffer or Wireshark. Familiarity with VMware and commercial communications equipment. In-depth knowledge of transport and network architectures as well as end-to-end network design. Understanding of voice/data transmission and RF engineering.
