Software Development Engineer - Kuiper Network Services Team

Join Project Kuiper , an ambitious initiative aimed at launching a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites to deliver low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities globally. We are seeking a Software Development Engineer (SDE) to join our core technical team, responsible for building the ground-based traffic processing pipelines that link our satellite network with the external world.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work on innovative software solutions from the ground up while influencing the engineering culture of our team.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop code and build CI/CD pipelines, including test automation and monitoring dashboards.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design, develop, deploy, and operate infrastructure.
Mentor junior and new team members to foster skill development.
Engineer a reliable and stable cloud service that enhances customer connectivity.
Work on features that improve service quality and security for our customers.
Collaborate across multiple teams to implement networking functions on AWS cloud infrastructure, establishing software development best practices.
A Day in the Life:
As an SDE at Project Kuiper, you will engage in designing networking features, implementing and testing them in both prototype and production environments, all while delivering high-quality solutions. You will write code, debug systems, and help create some of the world’s most innovative products, while also managing service operations to ensure exceptional customer experiences.
