Join Amazon Advertising as a highly motivated Senior Business Intelligence Engineer to elevate our Advertising Product Finance team. In this pivotal role, you will support Video, Audio, and Devices advertising businesses by owning and executing a comprehensive analytical roadmap tailored for APM Finance publishers.
As a Senior Business Intelligence Engineer, you will leverage your strong technological, analytical, and business intelligence skills to drive insights that directly influence business growth and product enhancements. You'll have the opportunity to work with vast datasets in one of the largest data warehousing environments, enabling you to develop robust hypotheses backed by data-driven insights and to effectively influence finance and product leadership.
Key responsibilities include:
Understanding the business drivers and data landscape for Ads.
Contributing in-depth data-driven analysis reports with actionable insights targeted at finance and business leaders.
Designing and implementing a comprehensive reporting and analytical roadmap to extract essential business metrics.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and integrate new datasets that enhance existing analytical capacities.
Communicating findings effectively to influence decision-making and product improvements among business leaders, finance, and technical teams.
Mentoring junior team members to establish new analytical standards and best practices.
In a typical day, you will develop advanced models and tools, conduct statistical analyses, and assess large datasets to create customized models and dashboards. Your role will be crucial in designing a reliable and scalable infrastructure for ongoing reporting and analytics.

Structure complex problems and design analytic solutions across diverse fields.
Provide actionable recommendations that inform strategic planning, product strategy, launches, engineering improvements, marketing campaign optimizations, customer service trends, and competitive research.
The APM Advertising Product Finance team plays an essential role in supporting Amazon Device, Audio, and Video advertising demand-side platform (DSP) product teams. We also partner with internal teams to drive ad sales and enhance supply. Our mission is to accelerate top-line revenue and improve profitability by assessing overall ad supply monetization, product feature adoption, campaign performance, and various growth drivers.
Basic Qualifications:
10+ years of professional or military experience.
5+ years of SQL experience.
Experience in programming for extracting, transforming, and cleaning large datasets (multi-TB).
Proficient in designing experiments and statistical analysis of results.
Experience with AWS technologies.
Proficient in automation scripting (e.g., Python) and advanced SQL skills.
Knowledgeable in data science, machine learning, and data mining methods.
Experience with statistical analytics and programming languages such as R, Python, or Ruby.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working directly with business stakeholders to bridge data and business needs.
Experience managing and communicating results to senior leadership.
Master's degree in statistics, data science, or a related quantitative field.
