We are looking for a Program Manager.The Program Manager is responsible and accountable for the execution of all programs assigned to him/her, and adherence to DRiV program management processes. This comprehensive role ensures flawless launch performance that meets all program targets including, but not limited to safety, quality, delivery, and financial performance. Multiple programs may be assigned, and some assigned programs may be global in scope. The team is ready to act immediately on those candidates who are the best fit for the role. Ensures effective and timely program scope management with emphasis on customer scope changes and execution of the Scope Change and approval process
Considers program trade off analysis - balancing cost, time, product capabilities and resources
Identifies program risks early, develops and executes mitigation strategies
Escalates risk with mitigation strategies to the leadership team in a timely fashion
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance program efficiency and effectiveness.
Project Time and Resource Management
Creates high quality timing plans that are developed with the program team and effective buy in from all functional areas
Meets "0 days late" for all Gates
Meets all customer due dates, on time with high quality products
Implement and oversee program governance frameworks to ensure consistent project delivery.
Project Integration Management
Leads the program team to ensure collaboration and alignment amongst Engineering, Operations, Sales, Finance, Quality and Purchasing
Ensures a high level of integration and collaboration with the plants and Launch Managers on their programs
Takes an active "go and verify" approach with his / her programs by personally visiting the plants, suppliers, and customers at appropriate intervals
Acts as the central communication point for their programs, reporting on status and progress regularly
Communicates and negotiates directly with customers on matters pertaining to program timing
Project Cost and Financial Management
Ensures that all program financial targets and budgets are met
Verifies that the Capital Plans and Business Cases are reasonable and achievable
Ensures that effective and logical financial roadmaps are executed.
Manage program financials, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
Lead change management efforts to support program adoption and sustainability.
Project Quality Management
Ensure that quality objectives and roadmaps are developed and executed by the Program Team Quality Lead.
EDUCATION:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or Business Administration SKILLS & EXPERIENCE: Minimum 5 years' experience in the automotive industry
Prior program management and/or PMP certification preferred but not required for qualified candidates with related automotive experience.
Knowledge of program management methodology, tools and techniques, including relevant computer software tools, or proven ability to learn.
Experience in at least two, preferablythree or more, key functional areas: Program Management, Engineering, Quality, Finance, Operations or Sales preferred
Bilingual (Spanish/English) is preferred
