Summary This position is located at White Sands Missile Range, NM, MWR Marketing. (AR 215-3 2-5). Responsibilities Conducts research, identifies key contacts and develops sales strategies to solicit potential sponsors for MWR events and negotiates terms of contracts. Builds and maintains client relationships through consistent communication and outstanding customer service. Ensures that contractual obligations are coordinated and implemented and coordinates with Staff Judge Advocates to ensure terms of each sponsorship agreement follows all procedural guidance, regulations and policies. Attends events and serves as point of contact to sponsors. Develops annual commercial sponsorship plan and packages and directs all activities towards meeting or exceeding annual sales targets. Assists in the creation of marketing assets, website updates and social media posts as needed. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications 1. Work experience or education directly related to the duties to be performed. 2.Knowledge of commercial sponsorship practices. 3. Knowledge of advertising theory. 4. Ability to establish a professional rapport with activity managers and sponsor representatives of varying management levels. Best Qualified: 1. Minimum of 1-2 years progressive experience in sponsorship and advertising sales, along with marketing principles and practices (this experience may have been gained in a commercial or corporate environment, or in an advertising department or agency). 2. Must demonstrate the ability to research companies for commercial sponsorship, identify key personnel to contact and to negotiate terms of a contract. 3. Overall experience must include a demonstrated track record of sales experience that illustrates success in meeting/exceeding goals as an individual contributor. PCS Costs Payment Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs are not authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government's interest. Pay-Band (NF or CY) Allowances and Differentials This is a pay-banded position. Sunday premium pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. If authorized, only regular (full-time, part-time, limited tenure and seasonal) employees may be paid Sunday premium pay. When authorized, Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday). Night differential may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. When authorized, night differential will be paid at the rate of 10% basic rate for hours of non-overtime work performed between 1800-0600. Incentives and Bonuses Incentives is be paid. $4,000 retention bonus, with the person receiving $2,000 after one year and another $2,000 after two years.
