Position Overview:
We are looking for a talented Mid-Level PHP Web Application Developer to contribute to a crucial federal government program. If you have strong PHP skills and a collaborative approach, we want to hear from you! You will work closely with solution architects, business analysts, and tech specialists to design and develop secure web applications that meet government standards. Key Responsibilities: Develop, maintain, and enhance web applications utilizing PHP frameworks (Laravel, Symfony, etc.). Collaborate with UI/UX designers, project managers, and fellow developers to fulfill both technical and functional requirements. Write clean, scalable, and well-documented code; Integrate third-party APIs while ensuring secure data handling. Participate in code reviews, testing, debugging, and performance tuning. Ensure compliance with federal security standards and accessibility requirements (e.g., FISMA, FedRAMP, Section 508). Engage in Agile/Scrum development practices, including daily standups and sprint planning. Assist with the deployment and maintenance of applications across development, staging, and production environments. Qualifications: 3-5 years of hands-on experience in PHP development. Proficient in PHP frameworks such as Laravel, Symfony, or CodeIgniter. Experience with relational databases including MySQL or PostgreSQL. Familiarity with version control systems like Git. Understanding of secure coding practices and data privacy. U.S. Citizenship is required for federal contract compliance. Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance. Willingness to be on-site two days a week. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with federal or government projects. Knowledge of DevOps tools and CI/CD processes. Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP). Experience in RESTful API development and microservices architecture. Working knowledge of accessibility standards (Section 508) and compliance testing tools. Previous experience with CMS platforms like Drupal or WordPress used in federal agencies.
