The Sr. Scrum Master position is within our Infectious Disease business unit located in San Diego, California. In this role, you'll be at the heart of our Agile transformationfacilitating ceremonies, managing cross-team dependencies, and guiding teams through the full development lifecycle. You'll work closely with engineering, product, and test teams to ensure alignment, transparency, and continuous improvement. The Senior Scrum Master should have strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset to work effectively across teams and departments. What You'll Do: Lead Agile teams in alignment with program strategy and Agile best practices. Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies: sprint planning, grooming, daily stand-ups, demos, and retrospectives. Maintain a healthy backlog of development-ready stories. Collaborate with Product Management and Integration/Test teams to estimate and prioritize work. Resolve team conflicts, promote shared ownership, and drive accountability. Manage cross-team dependencies and coordinate with other Scrum Masters. Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, including executives. Track and report on team progress, risks, and achievements through dashboards and status reports. Provide hands-on leadership and mentorship to foster team growth and Agile maturity. Required Qualifications: 810 years of relevant experience, or 6+ years with a master's degree. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field. Scrum Master Certification (e.g., CSM, PSM, SSM) or Kanban Certification (e.g., TKP, KMP, PSK). Strong knowledge of Agile frameworks: Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, LeSS, XP, Lean, etc. Experience with tools like Azure DevOps or similar ALM platforms. Background in system integration testing, test automation, and systems engineering. Programming experience in Python, JavaScript, or similar languages. Proven leadership and mentoring capabilities. Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) Competencies: Assess issues thoroughly and solve complex problems; helps resolve roadblocks for the team. Creates a workplace environment of mutual respect. Takes time to explain decisions. Ability to work with geographically dispersed teams across time zones. The base pay for this position is $75,300.00 $150,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
