Statement of Purpose:
As a Medical Assistant Trainee, you will play a vital role in delivering therapeutic services to patients and their families, focusing on those affected by substance use. This position requires a compassionate individual with excellent interpersonal skills and a positive, warm demeanor who genuinely cares for patients, families, and colleagues. Enrollment in an approved school for Substance Use Disorder Professional credential. Preferred:
Associate's degree in Social Services or equivalent (90 quarter/60 semester college credits) or a Bachelor's degree in Behavioral Health Sciences. Experience: Required:
Minimum of two (2) years of supervised experience providing services for individuals with substance use disorders. Preferred:
At least one (1) year of experience in Criminal Justice. Certificates: Required:
Trainee certification as a Substance Use Disorder Professional as approved by the Washington State Department of Health. Preferred:
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Additional Qualifications: Bilingual, particularly in English and Spanish, is preferred. Ability to work with culturally diverse populations is essential.
