We're excited to invite a talented leader to join our Data Engineering team! In this pivotal role, you will collaborate closely with Product Managers, Data Scientists, and Software Engineers to construct a robust data architecture that fuels product insights and drives company growth.
As an Analytics Data Engineering Manager, your work will directly impact user satisfaction and the trajectory of our products. Key Responsibilities:
Lead the mission and strategy for Business Intelligence (BI) and Data Warehousing within a product vertical.
Build and manage a high-performing BI and Data Warehousing team focused on scalability.
Develop cross-functional relationships to effectively understand and fulfill data needs.
Oversee data warehouse planning, ensuring quality and operational efficiency.
Design, build, and launch innovative data models and production pipelines.
Produce impactful dashboards and data visualizations.
Define and monitor Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for all data processes in production.
Lead projects with an efficiency-driven mindset, aiming for BI enhancements that proactively benefit the company.
Minimum Qualifications:
A minimum of 4 years of experience in applied analytics (2+ years with a Ph.D.), including 2+ years managing analytics teams.
8+ years in BI and Data Warehousing.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Math, Physics, or a related technical field.
Experience in successfully initiating and completing BI and data-related projects independently.
Strong communication skills for presenting analysis results to executive leadership.
Project management expertise with a solid background in data architecture.
Proficiency in data querying languages (e.g., SQL) and experience in at least one object-oriented programming language (Python, Java, etc.).
2+ years of team management experience, overseeing teams of three or more.
A history of working collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including Data Engineering, Data Science, Software Engineering, and Product Management.
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with data sets, Hadoop, and visualization tools.
Experience within a consumer web or mobile environment.
Advanced degree.
Compensation:
$173,000/year to $242,000/year plus bonus, equity, and benefits.
