Summary of Role:
As the Data Engineering Manager, you will be at the forefront of ensuring data flows seamlessly through our applications and systems. Your leadership will be crucial in establishing ETL processes, maintaining data quality, and optimizing performance and reliability. Key Responsibilities: Lead the data engineering team, focusing on hiring, training, and mentoring team members to maximize their potential. Architect and implement scalable data solutions using Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory, and additional cutting-edge technologies. Develop and manage ETL processes to ensure the timely and accurate movement of data. Identify opportunities for performance improvements and troubleshoot data solutions for optimal results. Collaborate cross-functionally to guarantee data consistency, quality, and reliability across all systems. Implement and enforce data security and compliance standards in partnership with the security team. Oversee data services team operations, including budgeting and data quality monitoring. Research and advocate for innovative technologies in data and analytics. Your Background and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Systems. A minimum of three years in a leadership role within data engineering. At least five years of experience with BI technologies and ETL workflow development, especially in retail or hospitality areas. Demonstrated expertise with Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory, and other data warehousing and ETL technologies. A successful completion of required trainings. Ability to obtain a Food Handler's Card within 30 days of employment. Compensation and Rewards: Hybrid work schedule. 401K with company match. Yearly bonus opportunities.
