Join the AWS Center for Quantum Computing as a Machine Learning Engineer focused on developing optical defect detection ML models. You'll play a vital role in enhancing quality assurance processes and accelerating our device manufacturing pipeline. Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain platforms for creating, evaluating, and deploying machine learning models for real-world applications.
Quickly learn about emerging Generative AI technologies to tackle complex data exploration challenges.
Collaborate with scientists and engineers to understand data and create frameworks for actionable metrics.
Implement design proposals effectively while ensuring the stability and quality of our software stack.
Take ownership of features that enhance the development of quantum computing technologies.
Example Projects:
Develop a machine learning vision model for optical defect detection and classification.
Establish an active learning pipeline utilizing human feedback to improve model performance.
As a key member of the Device Lifecycle software development team, you will work with talented engineers committed to scaling quantum computing technologies.
Basic Qualifications:
Experience in production ML environments, specifically deploying computer vision models.
Proven track record in developing automation solutions at scale.
3+ years of professional software development experience, excluding internships.
2+ years experience in system design, emphasizing design patterns, reliability, and scalability.
Preferred Qualifications:
MSc or PhD in a STEM discipline.
3+ years of experience in the complete software development lifecycle, including coding standards and testing.
Experience working within a research environment alongside scientists.
Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or AWS Cloud Development Kit (CDK).
Experience deploying and maintaining Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) models in production.
