Role Overview:

We are seeking a

Product Data Scientist

to join our team. In this role, you will: Collect, organize, interpret, and summarize statistical data to enhance the design and development of Meta products. Utilize your expertise in quantitative analysis and data mining to gain insights into user behavior with our consumer and business products. Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to identify trends and seize opportunities, informing product decisions and launches. Engage in diverse projects related to product operations, exploratory analysis, product influence, and data infrastructure. Work on problems of moderate scope, leveraging analytical skills to evaluate various factors and make informed decisions. Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Applied Sciences, or a related field. Experience through university-level coursework, research projects, internships, or theses in performing quantitative analyses on complex datasets. Proficiency in SQL for data querying and a scripting language such as Python. Familiarity with statistical or mathematical software, including R, SAS, or Matlab. Hands-on experience with applied statistics or experimentation, including a/b testing in a professional environment. Knowledge of machine learning techniques and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes. Experience with relational databases and large-scale data processing infrastructures using distributed systems. Proficient in quantitative analysis methods, such as clustering, regression, pattern recognition, and descriptive and inferential statistics. Compensation:
