Senior Exploitation Specialist/Data Scientist

Description Leidos is excited to announce an opening for a Senior Exploitation Specialist/Data Scientist to become an integral part of our innovative team. Job Summary: In this dynamic role, you will engage in deep data investigations tackling complex challenges through applied statistics and algorithm development. You will work closely with subject matter experts to clearly communicate intricate data analyses to non-technical audiences. Primary Responsibilities Deliver data science and automation support while aligning with modernization objectives, including advanced database applications and enterprise activities. Provide expert GEOINT and Data Science insights to ensure consistent delivery of precise Imagery data to our clients. Develop innovative service solutions that incorporate best practices aimed at modernizing existing processes. Conduct thorough data investigations leveraging algorithms and statistical methods, making complex concepts accessible to non-technical stakeholders. Create insightful data visualizations from diverse data sources through user-friendly dashboards. Collaborate with database developers and analysts to optimize and sustain new database management workflows. Facilitate seamless integration of new workflows with modernized database applications and enterprise-level APIs. Engage in data modeling and simulation to track production and changes in proprietary datasets. Anayze production metrics from internally created data through robust statistical techniques. Transform Visual/Basic MapInfo scripts into Python for enhanced functionality. Implement systematic processes for enterprise database management. Automate repetitive data management tasks to enhance efficiency. Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a relevant field. A minimum of 8 to 12 years of experience with a BA or 6 to 10 years with a Master's in Data Science or a related area. Proven expertise in at least three of the following tools/methodologies: Python ArcGIS, ArcSDE, ArcPro Quantum GIS (QGIS) PostgreSQL, PostGIS, PgAdmin Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) Applied Statistics Algorithm Development Familiarity with the following tools is a plus: MapInfo, MapBasic Active TS/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain a Polygraph.
