As a Night Shift Computer Operations Specialist, you will be crucial in monitoring and managing mainframe and distributed systems in our client's data center located in Louisville, KY. This onsite position supports continuous operations, ensuring system stability, rapid issue resolution, and effective collaboration with cross-functional teams. Key Responsibilities Monitor 11 mainframe consoles, responding promptly to system messages, failures, and issues. Execute operational commands and manage initiators, including draining and restarting systems as necessary. Support bi-monthly Initial Program Loads (IPLs), disaster recovery processes, and essential communications. Coordinate the monthly software release process, facilitating multiple bridge calls during rollout. Act as a backup for AS400 tape requests and manage Iron Mountain delivery pickups. Collaborate with the Client IT Operations Center (TOC) and Data Center Architecture Services (DCAS) during maintenance activity. Maintain stable virtual desktop sessions during network upgrades due to hardwired PC setups. Communicate effectively with peers, management, and external customers. Foster positive working relationships across teams. Analyze and resolve complex problems, performing root cause analysis with vendor support. Ensure compliance with all audit, security, and operational standards. Who You Are You are detail-oriented and thrive in high-pressure scenarios. Required Skills and Experience Experience with batch operations and scheduling software (e.g., IBM IZWS or equivalent). Proficient in ServiceNow or similar ticketing systems. Familiarity with Windows operating systems. Strong communication and coordination skills. Able to work onsite in a 24x7x365 operational environment. Preferred Skills and Experience 3 to 5 years of relevant operational experience. Experience in troubleshooting, backup/recovery processes, and basic networking. Familiarity with SQL and disaster recovery planning. Knowledge of TMON or similar monitoring tools. Compensation and Benefits The salary range for this position in the U.S. is $53,160 to $95,640, based on a full-time schedule. Actual compensation may vary depending on your skills and experience. This position may be eligible for Kyndryl's discretionary annual bonus program and includes a comprehensive benefits package offering medical and dental coverage, disability, retirement benefits, paid leave, and time off.
