The

Milieu Manager

is responsible for assuring that the facility runs smoothly, supplies are being ordered, concerns are communicated to the home office and for managerial oversight of Mental Health Technicians. The Milieu Manager consults with the Program Director and the home office regarding needs/duties to be completed and works closely with the Program Director when any issues arise. The Milieu Manager is also responsible for assuring that all activities at the facility are within the Discovery Behavioral Health’s Mission.

Responsibilities

Management of the clinical milieu and promotion of a positive, HIPPA compliant and streamlined virtual therapeutic environment within the program

Ensure treatment spaces are safe, secure, and therapeutic

Participates in the patient intake process and completes necessary paperwork with patients and families

Plays an active role in treatment team by providing important updates for treatment team members and taking meeting minutes to publish for review

Take notes during the weekly treatment team meeting and publish for staff to review

Provides Milieu support and coverage as needed such as Community Meeting, psychoeducational groups, and meals

Ensures adherence by the entire staff to the program schedule

Manages patient charts and completes audits in a timely manner

Works collaboratively with the Program Director and Human Resources to ensure the program is staffed efficiently and adequately

Tracks and reports client attendance

Assists clients with technological challenges

Assess clients for safety who drop out of the group unexpectedly

Work collaboratively with the treatment team to ensure effective program flow

Provide additional staff support during mealtimes

Qualifications: Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university

OR

Two years experience working within the mental health, counseling, or in a milieu setting preferred.

Must attend all training, education, and staff enrichment activities.

Must be at least 21 years of age due to the nature of work being performed.
