As part of our team, you will be responsible for:
Developing embedded software for Customer Terminal devices within the Project Kuiper ecosystem.
Participating in all phases of the software development life cycle, including requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, and ensuring code/test coverage.
Writing embedded software using languages such as C, C++, Rust, and assembly.
Applying your in-depth understanding of real-time embedded software practices.
Utilizing your expertise in Linux and RTOS environments.
Reviewing schematics and applying troubleshooting techniques for embedded software and hardware.
Implementing drivers for peripherals and interfaces such as I2C/I3C, SPI, UART, and GPIO.
Collaborating closely with hardware teams to support board bring-up and integration testing.
About the Team
The Kuiper Customer Terminals Software team is at the forefront of developing and maintaining the core software that powers our customer terminals on the Kuiper network. Our team operates in a highly collaborative environment, focusing on low-level device drivers, secure manufacturing, and effective network communications.
Basic Qualifications:
7+ years of professional software development experience.
7+ years of experience in programming with at least one software language.
7+ years of leading design or architecture of systems.
Experience mentoring, leading, or managing an engineering team.
Preferred Qualifications:
10+ years of experience in the full software development life cycle.
Master's degree in computer science or a related field.

The base pay for this position ranges from $151,300/year in our lowest geographic market to $261,500/year in our highest geographic market. Compensation is based on various factors including market location and individual qualifications.
