Our Data Center Engineering Operations team maintains and operates our critical infrastructure systems to ensure they are prepared to stand up against any situation. Our Engineering Operations Technicians (EOTs) help keep them that way by working with the brightest minds from around the globe to test and implement the newest technology and work practices to meet the demands of a changing market. Daily building rounds to monitor and record information from electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment to ensure 24/7 reliability and availability. Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management System (EPMS). Assist in troubleshooting facility and rack-level events within internal Service Level Agreements (SLA). Perform rack installs and decommissioning within SLA. Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment. Write technical documentation to support change management programs. Manage daily work requests to resolution and execute projects from conception to completion. Support on-site contractors, sub-contractors, and vendors, ensuring work complies with established practices, procedures, and legislation. Work schedule may vary, with shifts up to 12 hours, including rotation and on-call duties. Support may extend to multiple locations/sites. Physical Requirements
Willingness and ability to work in physical conditions with reasonable accommodations. Regularly lift/move up to 39 pounds; participate in group lifts for 40+ pounds. Maintain balance and perform tasks on ladders. Perform various physical activities including walking, handling, reaching, stooping, climbing, and working above shoulders. This role involves hands-on electrical and mechanical preventative maintenance and troubleshooting, reporting to a Data Center Facility Manager. Responsibilities include maintaining and troubleshooting mission-critical equipment such as diesel generators, electrical systems, cooling systems, fire safety equipment, and building automation systems. Technical training or 2+ years of electrical, mechanical, HVAC, fire system experience in a mission-critical environment or relevant industry experience. 2+ years experience with Microsoft Office products. High school diploma or equivalent. Preferred Qualifications
